Another year has passed yet our goal remains unchanged when it comes to providing value events, content and services. Whether you’ve connected with us through Karma Marketing, the #WEAREWAVEMAKERS podcast, the PACE training program, or any of our other initiatives, our mission has always been the same: showcasing our collective commitment to promote holistic marketing approaches in people’s professional and personal lives.
Here are some of the visions we’ve nurtured and fully brought to life, transforming ideas into reality:
Karma Marketing continues to serve as a growing safe space for Southeast Asian marketers to nurture their professional well-being. Last April, we co-hosted the Leaders Discussion Series: Balancing Wellbeing and Performance in Today’s Work Culture — a work-life balance workshop for CEOs in Kuala Lumpur. In collaboration with FutureLab, a social enterprise, and On The Rise, an all-women’s organization, we curated an immersive gathering focused on redefining workplace culture. Together, we explored connection-driven work environments, humanistic approaches, and strategic success metrics. The event took place at the serene Damai Studio, a hidden sanctuary offering a retreat from the city’s hustle.
PACE Program is our ongoing training arm for marketers looking to grow on their marketing communication and soft skills. Last May, we launched our creative workshop Artistic Authenticity for Creatives with Jordan Marzuki, a renowned editorial designer slash visionary behind Jordan, Jordan Edition. This was our tribute to our collective designer’s community Sketsa Pulang Kerja.
Additionally, we were proud to partner with Cult Creative as their trainer for their team on ‘How to Create Marketing Content that Connects with Your Audience Strategically’.
Wavemakers Collective serves as the driving force behind our holistic marketing initiatives. Last October, we proudly hosted the BrandStrat 2024 Summit at Colony @ The Met Corporate Towers in Kuala Lumpur—our third major event in Malaysia. This summit was a collaborative effort between Cult Creative, Wavemakers Collective, and MadHat Asia, three homegrown agencies united by a shared vision: to create a platform where marketers could engage with leading experts in branding and marketing. Through thoughtfully curated panel discussions, inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, and exclusive networking opportunities, we wanted to provide an all-around experience for anyone to fully elevate their brand.
Our content pieces serve as our continued efforts to showcase the expertise of both our long-standing and new clients when it comes to tackling honest challenges, innovative strategies and fresh insights into the realms of marketing and business.
We’re deeply thankful for the opportunity to listen to the heartfelt stories of our Karma Marketing Sages as they share their personal journeys toward professional well-being. Here are a few highlights:
- Niney Chong on Leading From The Heart: Vulnerability At Work
- Megan Miao on The Connection Between Finding Purpose & Growth Mindset
- Divya Chandragesan on Self-Relationship Dynamics and the Journey to Alignment
- Munyee Lau on Balancing Structure & Flexibility in Discipline
- Reuben Ch’ng on Building Mastery Mindset Through Discipline & Adaptability
Similar to our other initiatives, we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with remarkable organizations, enabling us to share Wavemaker’s insights and expertise across Southeast Asia. Last June, our co-founder Rachel Lai had the honor of speaking as a panelist at On The Rise’s Female Financial Empowerment event in Malaysia, where she focused on ‘Financial Growth Through Overseas Expansion.
She was also selected as a keynote speaker last October at HSMAI’s Asia Pacific Digital Marketing Conference in Phuket, Thailand, where she shared her hotelier-focused expertise on ‘Powerful Trends in Brand Marketing for Revenue Growth.
As we look ahead to another year of holistic marketing, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our fellow marketers who shared our same vision and turned it to impactful actions. Here’s to more valued offerings and meaningful collaborations.
More to come for 2025!
